![]() |
NOTE: To professionally scan and process your own photos, slides and negatives could be very expensive and time consuming if you want to do it right.
Things to buy:
- A high-end quality scanner for photos, slides and negatives. (These are not standard consumer items, do a research before buying one.)
- Sophisticated software to do photo editing, image correction and enhancement.
- A modern computer with enough power to handle the programs and the scanning process.

- High tech, lint free, Anti-Static Gloves.
- Air compressor.
Things to learn:
- Scanner’s software.
- Photo editing programs.
Things to do:
- Clean each slide or photo carefully and place them
into the scanner. - Configure the scanner software according to the
desired DPI and material being scanned. - Save digitized images on the computer and then rotate and crop each photo as needed.
- Enhance colors and fix as many scratches as possible.
- Repeat the above 4 step for as many sets of photos, slides or negatives you have.
If you are scanning more than 100 photos, please take it easy, be patient and keep it going. It is going to take you more than 3 hours to process the first 100. If you didn’t get everything right the first time, don’t worry, after you have done it several times you will start to get good at it.
If you prefer, we can professionally and enthusiastically scan those 100 photos with all the steps and resources above for about $52.00 plus tax.
